Holiday cranberry sauce at its finest

This cranberry sauce is seriously fantastic! It has a hint of sweetness, some crunch, some tartness, fruity and goes good with literally everything on your holiday table. I could eat it at breakfast, lunch, dinner and every time in-between (which, let’s be honest, it quite a lot during the holiday season).

Ingredients:

2 cans of whole berry cranberry sauce

1 orange-juice plus zest

1 lemon-juice plus zest

2-3 stalks of celery-chopped

1 cup walnuts-chopped

Directions:

Toast chopped celery and walnuts in a dry pan on the stove top for 3-5 minutes until full aroma is released. Stir often. Add orange and lemon juice and zest and continue to heat for 2 minutes or so. Allow to cool completely. This is really important because otherwise, your cranberry sauce will turn to liquid. Once the mixture has completely cooled, mix it with the 2 cans of cranberry sauce and serve!

What’s your favorite thing to serve for the holiday season?
